Ten Trick or Treaters: seven

October 29th, 2008 | 5 Comments

Whoosh! You hear an unusual noise at your door. It’s Halloween, so it’s probably some kid in a costume. Imagine your surprise when you find this guy, all six feet of him, awaiting his treats. Who the heck is THAT?
This is Trick-or-Treater number 7 of 10 for the contest to name and describe the character. Get started! Winners announced on Halloween.

  1. Sarah says:

This is Steve. He’s 37 and lives in his mother’s basement. For the last 22 years, Steve has been working on what he refers to as, “the next innovation in gaming.” That’s why he’s dressed up as Super Man. Because his big idea is to have people dress up when they’re playing Dungeons and Dragons. It took him 20 years to come up with that idea and 2 years to design and sew his costume. He knocked on your door to get some live feedback and is actually kind of confused as to why people keep giving him candy. And weird looks.

  2. Sarah R says:

    Otis Owens, forty two,
Isn’t quite like me or you.
He loves to chew on bubble gum,
And at night he sucks his thumb.
He wears a costume every day
And doesn’t care what people say.
He isn’t quite like you or me,
    Otis Owens, wild and free.

  3. Brad says:

There Bud stood with a grin
    that looked something akin
to the look when one sits on thumbtacks.
    “Uh, I gotta git going,”
    (his forehead now glowing)
“cuz this costume’s supposed to have slacks.”

  4. Steve says:

This is a boy with great big dreams
But he prefers to call them schemes
He’s not too smart nor very bright
And doesn’t know his left from right
From strangers’ hands he’s taken candy
This boy I call Grandiose Andy

  5. Dave says:

    Lightning Muggins.

He’s a little older than the other kids. Doesn’t go trick or treating as much as he waits around hedges and “mugs” other, smaller kids.
