I was born in Arkansas in 1968, moved to Texas in 1979, went to New York City in 1987 to go to Parsons School of Design, lived in Paris France for a few years, ran away to San Francisco, in 1993, and since 1999 I've lived with my two kids in Philadelphia where I make stuff in my studio and ride my bikes.
I've written and drawn comics and graphic novels, designed magazines, and illustrated for many many magazines and newspapers. In 2003 I began illustrating children's books with Shredderman. Since then I've illustrated several more books and I'm currently working on even more. I continue working on editorial projects, as well as a lot of advertising, posters, and on a lot of toys and puzzles. I also work with animation, music, and various other media. Examples of all this stuff can be found on this site.
Awards and recognitions include appearances in the Print Regional Design Annual, How Magazine's Self-promotion annual, Harvey and Eisner Award nominations, a Christopher Award, and I was Student of the Year (2001) at The Acme Accordion School in Westmont, NJ. For real.
