Hey Teachers!

I will visit your school!
If you teach kids and they love books, you can set up an appearance by me, a real live illustrator! With my computer and your projector, I can show how I draw pictures for my books, I talk about my job, and I'll even make drawings. I can talk specifically about one book or series, or make it more general. If you want, I can even play a few tunes on the ukulele. I can work with your needs and schedule, and can spend a couple of hours, or more like a whole day. Contact me at brian(at)MrBiggs.com
If you're a student and you like books, tell your teacher to get in touch!

Beastly Rhymes

Beastly Rhymes is a collection of scary/goofy rhymes written by Judy Sierra and published by Knopf (Aug 2008). Its cast of characters include a giant smoochy squid, an alligator in a toilet, a snake with a taste for felines, an annoyed bug looking for revenge, and other creepy things. It was a blast to work on. One of the best things about the book is that it is, as you might can tell, furry. So once you've read it late at night and it's keeping you from sleeping, you can just use it as a pillow on which to lie there and stare at the ceiling.
Here are a few illustrations from the book.
