Before Dear Julia, was collected in the Top Shelf-published graphic novel, they existed as four individual comic books serialized over a couple of years from 1995 to 1997. I wrote them with the serial in mind and really enjoyed working toward four “endings” in the story.
These covers are the closest thing I’ve done to actual traditional painting. They were each painted with ink and gouache on illustration board. Click on the image to see it larger.
