Interim was made in late 1997, right after I completed Dear Julia, and right when I had no idea what I was going to do next. I was heading to Oporto, Portugal for eleven days for a comics festival and I wanted to take something with me that would 1. be new 2. fit the mood that I was in where, after four years of intense work on Dear Julia, I come out of my studio and see a little bit of the world around me, and 3. would be understood in any language (so, therefore, wordless).
Interim is a series of fifteen drawings of the things around me at the time. There are some images of the interior of my apartment, my street outside, and other scenes from around San Francisco in September 1997.
The cover is printed in two colors on nice card-stock, and the interior is photocopied, and it’s 5.5 x 4 inches.
I still have a bunch of these, so if you want one save up five bucks and send me an email.
