I was shopping at the Apple Store the other day and wanted to see how my site looks on the new iPhone (which I vehemently deny any interest in). Apparently the thing has problems with certain kinds of image tags and doesn’t know what to do with Flash and Javascript either. Absurd! Note that only one bird appears on the main home page image. Ludicrous! I’ll be waiting til v2.0. At least!
Doesn’t the 2 birds appear when you turn the phone on it’s side like the wall st paper in the comericial… um, yea nerds like that turn…2007
Nope. Turned 90 degrees only the left bird is visible. I guess it has to do with the weird HTML I used.
For thrifty ubergeeky web-browsing goodness, I recommend the Nokia 770 Internet Tablet. I wooted (woot.com) one for $130. It’s Linux, and it also “has problems with certain kinds of image tags and doesn’t know what to do with Flash and Javascript either,” BUT you don’t feel so bad about it ‘cuz it’s cheapish. (Actually, it works pretty well except for newer flash. It runs Opera, and it does VOIP with gtalk or gizmo).
