I just realized that I haven’t posted anything about this cool thing that I illustrated for Cranium this last Spring. Actually, there are two of them. One is set in an colorful jungle full of exotic wildlife, and the other is set in a funny ocean teeming with friendly whales and piranhas. Here are two larger views (click on them):

Talk 'n Tracks

Each of the puzzles has a battery-operated vehicle, a monkey in a banana for the jungle, and a seal for the ocean one. As the monkey/seal passes by the various animals and scenes, sound effects are triggered. The pieces can be rearranged in a multitude of ways creating hours and hours of endless amusement. Cranium hasn’t bothered to put it on their site (!!), but it’s available at Amazon dot com and Target.

I drew all the illustrations, which was interesting as I had to carefully follow the template path that had already been engineered.

It was a real challenge getting everything lined up just right.

At a recent open studio here, it was a real hit with the kids…
