Odd choices for a trick of treat…
Some liver, chicken…any meat.
But wait! There's nothing 'neath that hat!
That girl's a costume for the cat!!
Winifred Peabody and her little cat Witcher were really quite sweet little creatures, despite their outward appearances. Poor Winifred suffered from a strange skin condition that tinted her flesh a gruesome green, so she was only comfortable leaving her house on Halloween. No one made fun of her, when they thought she was wearing a mask.

Not preferring a witch
but then having to switch
when Mom said, "Yes you will, for Pete's sake!"
But it wasn't the witch rendition
it was her cat's skin condition
that their neighbors all thought was a fake.
Edward Braden had six older sisters. He always hoped one year he could choose his own costume; a pirate perhaps, or Spider Man. But he always had to pick from one of the ones his sisters had passed down. Hopefully none of his buddies would see him…
