If you get a chance to check out today's Philadelphia Daily News, please turn to page 40. I strongly encourage you to not look at page 41. Just stay on page 40. Lauren McCutcheon wrote a nice piece about the book and the signing/publication party we're having tomorrow at Children's Book World in Haverford.
Sacha took a great picture of the paper, so here's that, in case you can't get your own…

So the book is out, and now we're having a party. Children's Book World down in Haverford PA is hosting a publication hoo-hah shindig jamboree on this Saturday September 24, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. Celebrities will not be there, nor will clowns. However, I will be there and I will have a handy pen in which I can sign my name to the copy of Everything Goes that you gleefully purchase.
Bring your kids, if you have them, and bring your friends if you have them too.
Here's the info for the shop:

The Philadelphia Free Library Festival was this past weekend. Eric Wight and I had a little drawing show on Saturday for which I printed up this two-color poster. We didn't sell out at the festival so I've got them up on Etsy now. Get one while they hot.

Eric Wight and I are doing a program at the Philadelphia Free LIbrary Festival this weekend and we're printing a poster for the occasion. However, I've not been able to choose a particular color combibation. So with a few days left before I print these, I thought I'd ask some opinions. A caveat is that the nature of screen printing dictates that colors aren't always 100% predictable, and another is that we might end up making more than one version. Just curious what y'all think.

This is me reading at the Philadelphia Library Festival over this last weekend and for some reason the picture just makes me laugh.

I'm the one on the left.

This weekend is the Free Library Festival at the Philadelphia Central Library. It takes place on Saturday and Sunday April 18 and 19 at 19th street at Vine. I'll be appearing (sounds like a magic act) in the Target Tent at 2pm on Sunday. The idea is that I'll be reading from the Judy Sierra book I illustrated Beastly Rhymes. It's a fun book to read aloud. They also tell me I'll read something else too.
There is a lot of other things to do at the library as well. Please come out and say hello and have a good time. The weather will be nice! Yes!
