When I was around twelve years old, I really really wanted to be a National Geographic photographer. More generally I wanted to be a travel photographer and imagined myself hiking the world taking pictures of exotic cultures and cities. Alas, I drew pictures instead. But this month I can at least put something like that old dream on my resumé, as National Geographic Traveler magazine published one of my photos on page 26 of the current Nov/Dec 2010 issue.
Not exactly an exotic locale, this image was taken in the Philadelphia Airport on Christmas Eve 2006.
Published today is the new issue of Kids Guide. This is a free magazine for parents and kids in the LA and Orange County area. The article is about fun, cheap and free things to with kids and families this summer. It’s my second cover for Kids Guide and I’m really happy with both of them.
This is the cover illustration that goes with the robot and the stegosaurus on the previous post. Kid’s Guide is a publication in the L.A. area for parents. The article here is about getting kids organized. The solution was in my head from the start and went right through without a hitch. Fun project.
This is kinda old news but I completely forgot to post it. I did a cover for ASK magazine, which is a magazine of arts and sciences for kids. I know it’s in the library at my kids’ school. It’s the second cover I’ve done for them. It was the March 2008 cover so it’s on the shelves by now at your local school library.
